Legend of the Frog

Everything we do at camp has a reason behind it.  Why a frog you ask?  I'll tell you.....

Our mascot is the frog because frogs live at camp with us. They live in the lake, they live in our stream and spring, they live in our trees.  But they do not live with people!  Frogs go through an amazing transformation called "metamorphosis". 

Our campers go through amazing transformations as well. 

Our first frog was "Willie" and now there is a new frog named "Dart" at camp.  Just like campers--Willie and Dart are best of friends because they understand how difficult making changes can be.  They came to camp as one thing but grow to be something entirely different.  They learn to like who they are and realize that they have a purpose here.  They are true lifelong friends and they help each other through the tough times and they praise each other when they overcome challenges.  It will not matter if they are always together or if they go home...they are best of friends!
