Our general philosophy is that "fair does not mean that all children get the same treatment--fair is that all children get what they need". Our mission is to create healthier individuals/family units.
Due to our credibility and the success of our families, we turned campers away last year from our weight loss camp that were on the waiting list. You will want to register EARLY so that you will have a spot for the coming season. We hate to turn any child away that is truly interested in success, but due to our individualized wellness plans---we will not grow any larger. Our goal is to assist kids in choosing a healthier lifestyle....not to pack them in like cattle to make money!

You may contact the Professional Registration board in Illinois and Missouri for licensure verification. We do not know of any other camp that has gone to this extent to safeguard your child. CJS takes accreditation by the American Camp Association seriously. Accreditation means that the camp complies with 300 national standards for camping and is reviewed and visited by the Association on schedule to verify compliance. Camp Jump Start is housed at the Living Well Village. The Living Well Village is the only camp in the State of Missouri that has met the requirements for a lodging license.
